Ice & Alcohol

New Years was a pretty messy occasion in Gwangju. I got off work at 10pm on New Years Eve but legged it outta the school with Matt at about 9.30pm. A bunch of us headed to one of the foreigner bars downtown called Speakeasy. It was a black & white night, although I slacked on this a little.. ok alot. Anyways so it's been snowing... it was especially heavy on New Years. When it snows... Koreans haven't a clue how to deal with it, so there's a ton of car pile ups and the paths are all like death traps, you can't walk anywhere without landing on your arse several times.

All 'n' all.. New Years was a great night, we drank too much liquor, ate some food, danced, kissed everyone at midnight and then searched for a taxi in the early hours for about 45 mins in the snow and ice. Poor Jesse left the bar on his own, without telling anyone, drunk. He slipped on ice on some steps and busted open his eyebrow, 20 stitches later he's a constant reminder of our crazy icy New Years in South Korea!!!
